Nannies 4 Grannies provides Home Care and Companionship in St Albans and Harpenden

We were proud to be part of the recent 'Flourishing Lives' drop-in events which were held during October 2023. These were held to celebrate the UN International Day of Older Persons. The events were arranged by St Albans City and District Council and held at the local libraries in London Colney, Redbourn, Harpenden and St Albans. They were held to promote the essential services, clubs and activities available to our older community. The council is promoting ways to keep residents safe and well, to get connected and stay independent.

St Albans Council, other partner organisations and Nannies 4 Grannies were all on hand to provide information about their services that make a positive impact on older adult's lives. These services included providing support in areas such as housing and benefits. Also providing help in the home including companionship, supplying mobility equipment, home safety checks, meal services, singing and activity groups and much more. We were able to meet lots of local businesses that can support our community with a variety of services. For those who missed this event, and for those who may need support, we are pleased to announce that we will be constructing a new page on our website where you will be able to find these contacts. Hopefully, to make life a little less complicated at a time when you need assistance and/or guidance. Please keep checking our website, but we are working towards it being available by the end of November 2023. Watch this space!

Harpenden Farmer's Market

The sun shone and the band played for our fundraising event for The Salvation Army at the Harpenden Farmer's Market on Sunday 22nd October. We were on hand to provide information about our services and to promote the services of The Salvation Army. We organised and held a raffle on the day, where 17 prizes were available. These ranged from free chips for a year to a Fire and Ice Facial. All were provided by our amazing local businesses. It was a great pleasure seeing clients old and new and making new connections with our local community. We want to say a BIG thank you to everyone who contributed on and towards the day. Together, we were able to raise a fantastic amount of £325. The Salvation Army will be putting our donation towards supporting people with specific needs. To see a list of the prizes that were won, please visit our website.
