After our successful fundraiser at St Albans (write up below..) earlier this month, we are pleased to let you know that we are running a similar stall at the Wheathampstead Village Day on the 6th of July which is open from 12pm through until 10pm. You can find details of the event here. We will be running a Tombola again and also some children’s games. If you can manage to come along look out for our N4G gazebo and come and say hello.
If you cannot make the day but would like to donate a new and unused item for our tombola, please contact Frankie on 01582 764305.
Our Alzheimer’s Society fundraiser saw an early start and some heavy showers, but, despite the wet weather, many people came along and took part in our event held at the St Albans Market on Saturday 15th June.
As the day continued, the sun shone and with plenty of participants winning many prizes, the day was a great success for everyone! We had two tombola’s running side by side, one for adults and one for children. One participant was incredibly lucky and not only won a few prizes in the child’s tombola, but also won some more for his dad in the adult’s tombola… He was incredibly excited and can say with certainty that we had made his day!
We met some wonderful people at the event and heard some inspiring stories from those who have, and are, being affected by this dreadful disease. We know that dementia can develop in anyone, there is no real reason and there is currently no cure. Read our latest article on the subject here.
We would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us through Trek26 and at the St Albans Market events, it really does make a difference.
